About me
My name is Pasqualino Fracasso and I’m a watermedia artist based in Aosta – Italy.
My artistic path brought me to study and experiment different techniques, styles and subject from realistic ones to semi-abstract.
In the last years I concentrated myself on looking for my personal language made of new stylistic solutions to evoke my visions where light, strong contrasts, colours and gesturality create an alchemy of intrigant elements.

Biography
Born in 1973, the artist has nurtured a profound passion for drawing since childhood, a passion that has accompanied him throughout his life. However, it was not until 2005 that he discovered watercolor, a technique that captivated him to the point of embarking on a self-taught journey. Through continuous experimentation and relentless stylistic research, he developed a unique artistic language, characterized by a fusion of different styles and techniques.
Initially, he studied the great masters of the past, working very realistically to gain complete mastery of the medium. Later, he explored new technical approaches, blending traditional watercolor with elements from other art forms. This innovative exploration led him, in 2011, to enter the international watercolor circuit, earning prestigious awards in the United States and becoming a prominent member of major international associations, including the American Watercolor Society, where he also serves as a judge for the annual international competition.
Today, he actively participates in the most important watercolor events worldwide, from China to the United States, both as an artist and as a juror or guest of honor. He also regularly conducts workshops and demonstrations, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for watercolor with a global audience.
My Vision of Watercolor
I am a natural experimenter. My art is a continuous exploration, where I love to blend traditional and classical watercolor with unconventional visions and materials. I firmly believe that to break the rules, you must first understand them deeply. This approach is reflected in my work, which is eclectic in both techniques and subjects.
Each of my creations is a challenge in the search for myself and the beauty that surrounds me. At this point in my artistic journey, my goal is to convey emotions and states of mind through forms, lights, and colors, creating visions that invite the viewer to step into a world of personal sensations and reflections.
